The Internet giant will anchor a $350 million redevelopment project at Manhattan's long-shuttered Pier 57. More renderings on click.
The historic Hudson River site in the Meatpacking District will include office, retail and cultural space, with Google expected to lease 250,000 square feet in the new site, officials said Saturday.
Celebrity chef and CNN personality Anthony Bourdain was onboard to build a public market complete with a mix of international and local dining options on the pier.
An 80,000-square-foot public park will provide a new outdoor venue for the Tribeca Film Festival. The site is on the National Register of Historic Places.
